About Allison

Allison is a pediatric sleep consultant certified by The Family Sleep Institute. She first became passionate about children’s sleep when her oldest was born, who was not a naturally good sleeper. Allison found all the different sleep books, blogs and opinions completely overwhelming. Sick of surviving on lattes, she was not ready to accept that she either had to let her son cry it out or wait years for him to magically become a better sleeper on his own. Using her background in research, she dug deeper into the science of sleep and set out to study everything she could!

After dramatically changing her son’s sleep habits and seeing the impact that improved sleep had on her entire family, she knew she wanted to embark on sleep consulting as a profession. She chose to study with the Family Sleep Institute, who offers the most comprehensive curriculum in the field, based on the science of sleep. Since then, her mission has been to simplify the process for other families and take the stress out of sleep training.

Allison believes that different types of sleep training are right for different children and works closely with families to figure out what is best for their unique dynamic. She has extensive experience with all types of sleep training methods. Allison supports families every step of the way without judgment, making their sleep improvement journey a true collaborative effort. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and children but works with families throughout the US.
